Overview

NEXA is a self-hosted media server platform. Your media files, settings, watch history, and personal data remain on your own hardware at all times. Romeoz Apps does not host, store, or have access to your media content.

What we collect

When you create a free NEXA account through nexaapp.tv, we store:

• Your chosen username, email address, and a one-way hashed password
• Basic account metadata (account creation date, last sign-in, display name)
• A lightweight registry of NEXA servers linked to your account (server name, last-seen timestamp, public URL)

This is the minimum needed so that a single sign-in works across every NEXA device and server you own.

What we do not collect

We do not collect or transmit your media library contents, viewing history, personal files, browsing activity on your server, cell location, or usage analytics. Third-party analytics tools, ad trackers, and marketing pixels are not embedded in any NEXA product.

Optional integrations

NEXA integrates with optional third-party services that have their own privacy policies. These include Amazon Alexa (voice control), Philips Hue and Wyze (smart home lighting), TMDb (movie and TV metadata), and IPTV providers (live TV streaming). Your use of these integrations is governed by their respective policies, not ours.

Push notifications

If you use NEXA Check and grant notification permission, Apple's Push Notification Service receives a device token. We store the token in our cloud directory so the offline-detector cron job can alert you when your server misses its heartbeat. Signing out of NEXA Check removes the token from our system.

Data storage

Account data lives in a SQLite database on our directory server at nexaapp.tv. Your media library database (movies, thumbnails, IPTV playlists, etc.) lives on the computer running NEXA Server — we never touch it.

Children's privacy

NEXA is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy as the platform evolves. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be surfaced in-app at your next sign-in.
