NEXA Server

The streaming service lives in your house.

Install NEXA on a Windows PC, point it at your folders, and it does the rest — artwork, descriptions and seasons appear on their own, and every device you sign in to picks it up.

Transcoding
Hardware-accelerated with NVIDIA, Intel or AMD graphics, so 4K files still play smoothly on a phone.
Remote access
Secure access from anywhere through the NEXA relay — no router settings, and your home address stays private.
Libraries
Movies, TV, music and live IPTV with guide data. Local drives, network shares and USB all work.
Requests
Friends ask for a title; approve it and NEXA hands it to Radarr or Sonarr and adds it when it's ready.
Anywhere

From the couch, to the train, to bed.

Pick up where you left off on any device. When the connection gets weak, NEXA lowers the quality a step so the picture keeps moving — and raises it again when things improve.

Features

Everything you'd pay for, on hardware you own.

NEXA covers the whole setup — the server, the apps, and the tools to keep an eye on it.

01

Automatic metadata

Posters, backdrops, cast and episode details are matched from TMDb as soon as files land in a folder.

02

Live TV & IPTV

Add an Xtream Codes or M3U playlist and get channels with a program guide, shared or kept personal.

03

Adaptive quality

Automatic step-down when a connection struggles, plus per-person and remote bitrate limits.

04

Requests

A built-in request queue with optional Radarr and Sonarr hand-off, and a notice when it's ready.

05

Voice & smart home

Ask Alexa to play, pause or find something, and connect Philips Hue or Wyze lighting to your server.

06

Server monitoring

See active streams, transcodes, storage and CPU from your phone — with an alert if the server goes offline.

Setup

Running in about ten minutes.

No command line and no router changes. If you can install an app, you can run NEXA.

  1. 1

    Install NEXA Server

Run nexa-server-setup.exe on a Windows 10 or 11 PC. FFmpeg is set up for you during install.

  2. 2

    Add your folders

Point NEXA at your movies, shows and music. It scans, matches artwork and keeps watching for new files.

  3. 3

    Sign in everywhere

Open NEXA on your TV, phone or browser with the same account — your server is already there.

Download

Start with the server, then every screen.

Every NEXA app is built natively for its platform and signs in with the same free account.

Questions

Good to know.

Does NEXA cost anything?

No. NEXA Server and your nexaapp.tv account are free, with no subscription and no credit card.

Where is my media stored?

On your own computer, always. nexaapp.tv only keeps your account and a list of the servers linked to it so sign-in works across devices — never your files or what you watch.

Can I watch when I'm away from home?

Yes. NEXA connects through its relay, so you can stream from anywhere without opening ports on your router, and your home address isn't shared with viewers.

What do my friends need?

An invite from you and a free NEXA account. Your server then appears in their apps, limited to the libraries you choose.

What computer do I need?

A Windows 10 or 11 PC, 64-bit. A graphics card from NVIDIA, Intel or AMD makes transcoding much lighter, but it isn't required.
